Virtual tour of the Audi stand at the Paris Motor Show

Virtual tour of the automotive sector (Audi stand at the 2012 Paris Motor Show)

I had the pleasure of working for Audi on the creation of the virtual tour. On their stand at the 2012 Paris Motor Show at Porte de Versailles. They lasted four hours, on Thursday, September 27, 2012, starting at 3:00 a.m. This detail is important. Because Audi had requested that the virtual tour of the stand be available on their website when the show opened to the public. That is, on Saturday at 10 a.m. This work (shooting, editing the equirectangulars, editing the virtual tour) was therefore completed in less than 48 hours. The tour begins with a 7-second introduction in a small planet. Promoting visitor immersion and accompanied by music. Note that the music was specifically created for the virtual tour.

The navigation buttons and the entire interface were specially designed for Audi, according to a specific charter.

Navigating the Audi Stand within the tour can be done in three ways:

First, by using the arrows on the ground, which follow the natural path of the stand. Then, by using an interactive map to help you position yourself. Finally, by deploying a drop-down menu.

The virtual tour also contains animated hotspots positioned on the vehicles. These contain links to information requests, technical information, or a vehicle configurator before ordering. These hotspots and their associated links are also available on the tour. Available on mobile devices.

The tour ends inside the Audi SQ5:

This tour is fully responsive. It looks identical on mobile devices. It also features gyroscope navigation. In other words, visitors simply have to turn their device for the image to rotate at the same angle.
