Dive into the Art of Bourdelle: Virtual Tour of the Bourdelle Museum
We are delighted to announce the launch of an exceptional virtual tour of the Bourdelle Museum. Located in the heart of Paris, this museum dedicated to sculptor Antoine Bourdelle invites you to discover his majestic works, his studios, and his gardens in an immersive and interactive experience. Thanks to this virtual tour, Bourdelle's artistic treasures are now accessible to everyone, from the comfort of your own home.
A Total Immersion in the Universe of Bourdelle
Interactive Exploration
The virtual tour of the Bourdelle Museum allows you to freely explore the museum's various spaces, from the vast exhibition halls to the artist's intimate studios and sculptural gardens. Each work, every corner, is captured with exceptional precision, offering a total immersion in Bourdelle's artistic world. Interactive information points provide details about the sculptures, the artist's life, and the museum's history, enriching your experience.
To begin with, the museum is one of the buildings classified as historic monuments. As a result, the installation of facilities for people with reduced mobility is sometimes incompatible with the requirements of the historic monument classification. This is the case for this workshop, which has a doorway smaller than the width of a wheelchair. Virtualizing this space was a solution to this problem. Also, the virtual tour is integrated into a wheelchair-controlled solution, as explained by the Bourdelle Museum: http://www.bourdelle.paris.fr/fr/activites/publics-en-situation-de-handicap/handicap-moteur
Visitors have the option of using another form of guided virtual tour. This allows those who cannot use a tablet to virtually visit the workshop. To launch the guided tour, click on the guide icon at the bottom left of the tour above. The mobile version of the tour has a "cardboard" button, and WebVR mode is then available:
Once the cardboard button is clicked, the visitor is then in stereoscopy in the museum. A target placed in the center of the image allows access to additional content:
Once the target is placed on a hotspot, the user has access to additional content:
The user can therefore open and close multimedia windows "by eye", simply by looking (in reality, by placing the central target on the hotspot). A new approach to the virtual tour, therefore, much more immersive, and still just as interactive.
Another development with special attention to people with reduced mobility has been made to this project. In particular, through the development of an application allowing the visit to be controlled by gesture recognition:
Exceptional Image Quality
Created using cutting-edge technology, this virtual tour offers exceptional image quality. Every detail of the sculptures, furniture, and architecture is rendered with remarkable clarity, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the museum's atmosphere and beauty. This visual precision allows visitors to discover Bourdelle's works from a unique perspective, as if they were physically present in the museum.
Optimal Accessibility for All
Inclusivity and Accessibility
The Bourdelle Museum is committed to providing an accessible experience for all. The virtual tour meets the strictest accessibility standards, incorporating various features for people with disabilities.
Inclusive and Enriching Experience
In addition to accessibility features, the virtual tour offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface, allowing everyone to explore the museum in a pleasant and independent way. This inclusive approach reflects the Bourdelle Museum's commitment to providing an enriching experience for all its visitors, without exception.
